Franklin and Bash - 1.02 Minispam (aka, a Reed Diamond picspam)

And yes, I really only watch this show for Reed Diamond, Malcolm McDowell and one a few guest stars (Tricia Helfer's gonna guest star. lol)




I don't know Marisa Tomei's role in My Cousin Vinny either, Damien. Although reading almanacs during my spare time when I was younger told me that she won an Oscar for that role.


Malcolm McDowell delivered the lulz here. Haha. And Damien's thinking, 'why am I here, with these people. Uncle Stanton, I love you, but... someone needs to write notes for this'. And writing notes for this he does. ♥


I truly cannot get over how fluffy his hair is here. IDEK. Frak continuity (because this scene immediately goes after the scene above... unless someone messed with his hair while he was writing his notes on the case) because it's just... too... fluffy. It's like, Dominic's hair in 1.05, when he pulled out the gas mask thing and showed his face to Echo before hitting her with his gun. That fluffy.

He rocked this scene, though. Damien's a lawyer.


Bash is actually better when he's not around Franklin (for me, anyway).


Why does he have to be the ~antagonist? Look at this, if they work well together all the time, we'll get shots like this every time. And OMG, Breckin Meyer's so tiny. Lol.

It's just so freaking adorbs. I was watching it as sort of my break from studying and when that scene just appeared, I was all, "WHOA, WHOA WHOA, STOP THE PRESSES. HIS HAIR!!!!11!!"

Yeah, I'm basically watching for Reed Diamond and McDowell too. Though I did think this episode was slightly better...maybe because Stanton got to actually do things and Damien was a little less uptight. Lol.

For me (other than more Reed and Stanton) I think it was because they let Franklin make mistakes (Heaven forfend)--getting bitch slapped by the judge. "Playing in the World Series of Poker isn't a crime and if I decided to put my stake on my VISA card, that's my business." And betting against them. Two mistakes in one show. Wow.

Now if we could have Bash enter the mistake column, we might have something here.

Honestly, I think part of the problem is I'm finding it really difficult to like Franklin. Bash comes across like the guy with goofy, out of the box sensibilities but who knows how to act professional when it truly matters and is actually very competent at what he does - a type of character we've seen a lot of before. But they haven't done much yet to demonstrate how Franklin is actually useful. The sidekicks have been doing more for his so-called partner so far than he is.

I don't like Frankin and I doubt I ever will, but they let him make mistakes in this ep. That helped me because I'm getting tired of the coyote/roadrunner aspects of this show with Reed being the coyote and F&B as the roadrunner.

Both F&B are arrogant (too arrogant) but in different ways. I'd like to see Bash's form of it take a hit too. That's all. That being said, I think I could come around to like Bash. If Franklin got hit by a bus, I wouldn't cry.

I agree with all of this. I'm thinking Franklin has a Napoleon complex mixed with his daddy issues.

We're still on ep 2 but I have a feeling those two, while good in court together, bring out the worst in each other.

Judging from the previews next ep, their time's gonna get cut back and Damien's going to be uptight again. :| I just hope we get some scenes where Damien gets to be adorbs so that I can gif them to death.

I discovered your picspam late since I just discovered the community but it awesome and Damian's hair is so fluffy here. LOL! In the recent episodes it is a little more flat and straighter though.

Interesting comments on Jared. LOL! I do like him, I love all the characters [is this a bad thing?] but even I can see how the FB actions start to grate on everyone's nerves. I made an observation with the eps that Peter is more subdued without Jared around, not saying it is good or bad just different. I think Jared is a good lawyer too it is that his arrogance, jokes, court room antics and issues tend to overshadow that at times. I don't think the show has shown why or the how he is so good. I wouldn't call him the sidekick yet though the writing hasn't done anything to show us differently.

I can't wait to see more Damian/Infeld caps from you. I love their dynamic also and hope they get more screentime in the future.
