Fringe 3x18

+ The cut before the opening credits made me jump. I knew something was going to happen, but seriously. That was creepy.

+ Lincoln and Scarlie are hearts. They're the ones I look forward to watching when it's the Red!Verse episode.

+ You know, the whole kidnapping the pregnant woman is all so very Alias-y. I was kinda expecting her mom to be in on it (even if it didn't make much sense...thanks very much, Alias). But of course, since this is Fringe, they have to put that special oomph which is the accelerated pregnancy. Which somehow made me care a lot more about Alt!Livia.

+ Alt!Astrid is amazingly awesome.

+ Ooh, Chinatown and Alt!Livia drifting around. I am reminded of Alias season 2's season finale. Minus the birthing scene.

+ The birthing scene was just... I can't explain it. A bucketload of creys for that scene with Linc and Alt!Liv. Seriously. Give the entire cast all the awards. THEY ALL DESERVE IT.

+ AUGH, WALTERNATE. EVEN MORE AUGH, BRANDON-ATE

Overall, it's a good solid ep, acting-wise (ALL THE AWARDS! ALL THE AWARDS!).

And okay, I know this episode have these ~moral implications (Alt!Liv implied that she was going to get an abortion if she had the condition, and Walternate forced her to bear his grandchild, blah blah blah, etc), but I'm going to ignore them the same way I ignored some of the ~moral implications that Dollhouse gave me. If that makes me sound like a vapid person... well, my dad already thinks I live inside my head too much and... there are a lot of things inside my head. Let me savour the pretty.

Anywho, here are some of my uestions (with spoilers for the next eps)

+ Will the baby grow really fast, like the season 1 ep where they had the super fast pregnancy? Because there's this theory I've seen on Tumblr that one of the behind-the scenes photo of Josh Jackson is a photo where he plays his son (or maybe his clone?) and not Peter because he's dressed like Lincoln, plus the spoilers about a future ep featuring an 18-year-old Ella (somehow, writing about it doesn't make sense, but this is Fringe, and now Josh Jackson can play a somewhat different character than his Peter) that makes some think that PBJr. is going to grow up really fast.

+ What if it's Peter's son on the prophecy and not him? Maybe that's the reason the Observers are there, because he's actually the one supposed to power-up the machine?

+ Scarlie and Linc are suspicious-- it suddenly occurs to me that there's a possibility that Over There Fringe Division will team up with Over Here Fringe Division to stop whatever it is that Walternate's planning and make sure both universes live? (why, IDK. My theories are all half-formed)

+ Will we see a jump-into-a-possible-future, thanks to the Observer? (this speculation is care of the Season 3 finale title, "The Day We Died")

+ What is the name of the baby?

Also, I hope they make Seth Gabel and Kirk Acevedo series regulars next season. Please, for the love of god. Bring back Kirk Acevedo and reel in Seth Gabel!

And here is the promo for the next ep (which will be shown on April 15)--

FRINGECEPTION!

-the baby's name is ella.
-i kept looking at all the alias similarities, too.
-my mom was on the phone and she likes to tell me to turn the tv on mute when she's on the phone (grrr) so i had the captions/subtitles/whatever on, and it says who's talking and at Fauxlivia's parts it kept calling her Bolivia.
-fringe/alias crossover? oh yes. i have all the faith in the world that the Fringe Division can solve Rambaldi.
:)

- but the baby's a boy XD
- That's what the writer's called her in the writer room/script. It's Olivia-B, so they took a short cut as Bolivia. Walter calls her Faux-livia, but since we're in the alternate universe, I call her Alt!Livia
